Vitamin B12 Injections

What is Vitamin B12?

Vitamin B12 is a crucial nutrient that plays a vital role in keeping your body healthy. It supports the health of nerve and blood cells, aids in DNA production, and helps prevent megaloblastic anemia, a condition that can cause fatigue and muscle weakness.

As a water-soluble vitamin, Vitamin B12 travels through your bloodstream and dissolves in water. Any excess is naturally excreted through urine, meaning your body only retains what it needs.

There are four types of Vitamin B12, and at Skincare by Gemma, we use Hydroxocobalamin. This is a natural form of Vitamin B12 produced by bacteria in the digestive tract and can also be lab-engineered from microorganism cultures. Hydroxocobalamin is highly effective and well-tolerated, making it an ideal choice for supplementation.

How is Vitamin B12 Administered?

Vitamin B12 is administered via an intramuscular (IM) injection, typically in the upper arm. This method ensures quick absorption into the bloodstream for fast and effective results.
